Brendon began his career in the electrical industry, developing a strong foundation across switchboards, power systems, and industrial infrastructure. Over time, his career evolved from technical and project delivery roles into senior leadership positions, spanning pre-contracts, operations, and business unit management within the LV and MV electrical sector.
He has delivered complex projects across mining, infrastructure, and renewable energy, with a focus on switchboards, prefabricated switchrooms, and integrated power solutions. Brendon has also played a key role in growing manufacturing operations and building high-performing teams.
In 2026, Brendon joined Entec Services Australia as General Manager – Manufacturing, where he is leading the establishment and growth of the Australian manufacturing capability in close collaboration with Entec New Zealand and local partners.
Outside of work, Brendon enjoys spending time with family, staying active, and making the most of the outdoors.
Mark started his career as an Apprentice Electrician in high rise and light industrial builds in Sydney, before cutting his teeth in the industrial electrical world as a FIFO worker on large construction and mining sites all around Australia. After moving to NZ in 2007 Mark worked as a Site Supervisor and then Construction Engineer in the Taranaki oil & gas industry before joining Entec in 2014. Mark became GM Projects in 2015 and has overseen the substantial growth of this part of the business, including diversification into manufacturing (TCE Controls) and our major push on Prefabricated Plant Rooms. Mark took on the new role of Director – Strategic Sales & Innovation in October 2024; as the title suggests, he now focuses on pursuing new business opportunities and working across new and existing industry sectors to accelerate Entec’s growth and diversification.
Mark lives in New Plymouth with his partner and their four daughters and when not at work is likely to have either a fishing rod, golf club or set of bbq tongs in his hand.
Rob is an Instrumentation Technician, whose career morphed into Project Management and took him to many parts of the globe. Rob joined Entec in 2013 as a project manager and became General Manager Services in 2014. He has enjoyed the personal development provided in his role, and being an integral part of the huge growth achieved by Entec. Entec’s continued diversification both in industry sectors and geography, along with the opportunity to grow and develop awesome staff are key contributors to Rob’s enthusiasm in his role. Rob took on the new role of CEO in October 2024, taking on operational responsibility for all aspects of Entec’s business.
Rob and Lizzy are proud parents of 3 wonderful kids and all enjoy the outdoors, all sports and more than anything, travel. Rob endeavours to ward off ageing and destress by chasing small black rubber balls around the squash court as often as possible.
Martin has 25 years’ experience in the switchboard industry, covering all aspects of design, manufacture and testing. Martin is an electrician and project manager by background, and is also a registered Electrical inspector.
Martin joined Entec in 2016 to establish our in-house manufacturing division, TCE Controls. Martin has built this part of the business to be a large and highly regarded supplier of switchboards and panels, with a very high rate of repeat business. Martin was promoted in 2024 into the new role of General Manager – Manufacturing & Engineering.
When he is not deep in design or in switchboard building mode, you may find him out on the open road motorcycling across the country with his long-suffering wife.
Ross joined Entec in 2020 and was appointed to the new role of Operations Manager I&E in 2022, following a five year stint as Senior Construction Engineer delivering a variety of multi-discipline projects in the upstream oil & gas sector. Ross is a registered electrician and is part of the way to completing his instrumentation qualification as well. Ross served in the NZ Military for 11 years, including operational deployments.
Ross has a passion for lean operations and bringing positive change into his workplace. He’s currently studying towards a Diploma in Business Management.
Ross is married with two children, and lives in a fairly remote part of the beautiful Taranaki province. He enjoys hunting, riding dirt bikes and generally anything to do with the outdoors.
Christian immigrated to New Zealand in 1992 and has lived for the most part in New Plymouth with stints overseas. He has an I&E background in the Dairy & Petrochemical sectors, most recently in project management roles.
Christian joined Entec in January 2023 as a Project Engineer, and is excited to become involved with new innovative technologies in the renewable energy sector, including the green hydrogen rollout.
Christian is happily married with two beautiful children. He is passionate about travelling and sports. He is also a “foodie” and when he goes abroad, he’s on a mission through alleyways, byways and highways to find the local street cuisine.
Bob joined Entec in 1996, initially as Commercial Manager, and then took over the leadership of the business in 2000. Bob’s qualifications are B.Com and MBA degrees. A lot of Bob’s initial time was spent on selling gas engines into landfill gas and biogas projects. As the business diversified into instrumentation, electrical and gas detection in 2010 Bob’s role changed to Managing Director. Bob took on a new role as Director – Future Business in 2024 and is now focused on future strategy and positioning Entec for its next phase of growth.
Bob lives in Auckland, is married with three sons, and enjoys time on the water and firing golf balls into water hazards in his spare time.
Shiree’s employment commenced with Entec in 2014, originally as Financial Administrator and in 2016 moving into the role of Company Accountant. Shiree has over 36 years’ experience and knowledge in her field and whilst at Entec has gained a Graduate Diploma in Accounting. Shiree is responsible for maintaining the finances of the company and associated accounting duties, coupled with supporting her colleagues with the payroll.
Shiree is a born and bred Aucklander, is a proud mother of two adult sons, and enjoys long leisurely walks and as she is a passionate foodie, enjoys cooking up a storm.
Joshin joined Entec in 2021 as Project Engineer – TCE Controls. Joshin’s qualifications are BTech and Postgraduate Diploma degrees. Joshin’s engineering career started as CAD designer and later as Project Engineer with more focus on HV installation works including transformer and generator. His focus in this role is assisting with design, pricing and production management for the full range of switchboards and control panels being manufactured under the TCE Controls name.
Joshin lives in New Plymouth and enjoys cooking in his spare time.
Steve joined Entec in 2010 from the heavy automotive industry, starting rotating equipment team to service the large fleet of Waukesha gas engines and Ariel gas compressors around New Zealand, including on offshore installations. As the team grew Steve moved into a team leader role in 2014 to take care of the operational running of the rotating team while still enjoying some on the tools work. In 2022 Steve joined the Entec management team as Taranaki Service Manager and now manager seconded I&E staff, the rotating team and all things service related for Entec.
Steve lives in New Plymouth, is married with three sons, and enjoys his free time chasing the elusive 20lb snapper, watching sports, and spending family time.
Dylan has worked in the Gas Detection industry for 20+ years. First as a service technician, he worked on the repair, maintenance, and calibration of a wide variety of fixed and portable gas detection equipment. Having experienced the management and execution of nationwide service contracts Dylan soon moved into technical support, customer service and inhouse sales. After a stint of broadening his instrumentation knowledge, he has returned to his core as Entec’s Key Account Manager, Gas Detection.
Dylan is a proven technical expert with a passion for keeping people and plant safe. A proud father of 2, Dylan is never happier than when riding the mountain bike trails of greater Auckland.
Jake joined Entec in 2020 to launch our new compliance services initiative. With many years’ experience as a hazardous area electrical inspector he has seen the need for more than just an inspection service. He is passionate about working proactively to help our clients achieve all their safety and compliance requirements. Backed by a team of highly competent and experienced inspectors, Jake is looking forward to “getting you running, and keeping you safe”!
Outside of work Jake is blessed with a beautiful fiancée and four amazing kids who keep him pretty busy. When he can manage it though he likes to get out and about in our beautiful back country or out on the water hunting, fishing, and exploring.
Paul joined Entec in 2015, initially as a Gas Detection Technician, and following growth in the department he was promoted to become Service Manager Gas Detection. His knowledge base includes servicing of all makes of personal gas detectors, specialising in Industrial Scientific and ION Science manufactured instruments. He has site-based experience with both personal and fixed gas detectors.
Paul had a variety of career roles prior to joining Entec and outside of work is best known as an accomplished artist, with a number of successful exhibitions and commissions.
Mark has been involved in manufacturing temperature probes since leaving school initially in the United Kingdom and then in New Zealand since 1996. Mark is a self-described “efficiency nut”, why make a job harder than it needs to be, the easier it is the better the quality!
Mark likes sport as long as it involves a comfortable chair at his home in the Waikato, a large TV Screen and surround sound. In particular he supports Liverpool football club, Ferrari F1 team and of course the All Blacks.
Lani joined Entec in 2010 as a part time administrator, after owning her own small business for 6 years. Lani has a Diploma in Business Management and over 20 years of varying accounts and admin experience. During her long time at Entec her role has grown and developed together with the business, she is now responsible for all of the systems, software and (most importantly) admin people that make our business run smoothly and efficiently.
Lani lives in the quiet beachside suburb of Beachlands in Auckland with her husband and two teenage girls, one a budding mechanical engineer and the other a dance addict. The majority of her spare time is spent running around after the kids, but when the opportunity arises she loves to travel, read and is trying to become more zen by learning yoga!
